This is from the online manual.
If the surface gets dirty it should be wiped with a damp cloth or with one of the many non-abrasive spray cleaners
available in selected stores or specialist shops.

Hey guys I don't owne a Vampyre yet but im still debating on a Custom Vampyre or one of the other models, I have a few questions: 1. Do all Warwick Vampyres (Not Rockbass) have the .175 gauge? 2.Which model do you guys think gets the best growl? 3.Which model do you guys personally prefer and why? 4. If I do have a custom made which combination of woods or wood (body) would get me the perfect growl to make people literally crap their pants?

So I play Blackened Death metal and Jazz (strange combo I know) I want a bass that cuts through the thickest of guitar distortion and loudest drum set, Im choosing a bass that will shake the bolts from the foundation on gigs (A.K.A Warwick Vampyre). I just need your guys' opinions

    Hi Morbid,

We have the Vampire NT, the Dark Lord, and the Rockbass.
The Darklord only has the 175 F# string.

I think the Vamp NT is a great buy. I mean if you like the shape, you get a killer tight bass, great for death metal and for Jazz too.

Within 2 days I have come to a conclusion and gotten the answers I've needed quickly.Thank you Florin for your much needed advice. I think Im going to get the Dark Lord now since I would like that .175 for the blackened death metal (main band atm) and I'll get the Vampyre Ltd alittle later. I will admit though the red gloss finish is extremly sexy on the Vampyre, the color and shape is a great combination. Or I could get a CS Vampyre like Charmand has :D

I can bake one for ya. If you get hungry on stage, you can just break of a horn.

The Vampyre SN is great for jazz, maybe not for standard metal, but for black/death it fills the frequencies very nicely. It`s not cut-through-ish, but more embedding and backing-up-ish.

I dont like the idea of SN's just the idea of a glued on neck :S so I just noticed your CS Vampyre is a 5 string. Anyways I was thinking Dark Lord first than If I like sound of the NT I might buy the a custom Vampyre NT

  17. #297
If I`d get a CS Vampyre, I`d probably go for a Thumb BO wood-combo with $$`s at the top. Or maybe the Corvette $$ NT in Vampyre-shape.

I just imagine this a very versatile bass, but I might be wrong.

    Hi & welcome.
The Vampyre is one of the limited editions that's not listed in the limited edition list.Like the 2000 Infinity LTD & 2003 Buzzard LTD.
The year the Vampyre was introduced,it was called the Vampyre LTD.After this,it became the Vampyre NT & a regular production model.
To be a true Vampyre LTD,it should have Hans Peter Wilfer's signature on the back of the headstock & limited edition numbering. If it doesnt have these things,it's a Vampyre NT.
Please post some pics of your bass. There's only one other true Vampyre LTD in this forum, owned by Incx.
    Cheers.

Oh my gawd!!Yes,yours is a 100% genuine Vampyre LTD.
Every single Vampyre LTD I see amazes me.Some have exquisite quilted maple tops, while others, like yours, have gorgeous flamed maple tops.Simply stunning & tonally awesome.
I think there were 250 LTD's built in total.
The only real difference between the LTD & NT is the signature on the back of the headstock,& perhaps the LTD's were fitted with slightly higher grades of maple.LTD's usually look more highly figured to my memory.
Scroll back through this thread for Incx's Vampyre LTD,in honey violin AAAAA quilted maple. It's absolutely mind blowing how beautiful it is.

    Hello, senor!

Congrats with your LTD, mate! It`s a damn fine pattern on that one. I use standard GATOR-hardcase for bass. They are a bit to wide for the body, but I fold my leather-strap and place it under it, and then it rests nicely without moving.

for some reason, my love affair with the Vampyre SN is still not over.... i changed all of my bass' strings and the SN has DR Black Beauts on them now ... it sounded the best among my vampyres

im still tripping on my jaco phase with using only the bridge PUs and boosting trebs and mids on my basses *lol*
