    Hallo!

I'd like to get a membership, may I?

Meet my 1992 Streamer Stage I, bought two days ago (his big brother Thumb BO5 was felling lonely :-))... isn't he lovely? The electronics are not original, but I ordered Mec ones right today.

I just finished putting new gold hardware (Bridge, knobs, Switchcraft Jack, Dunlop Straplok pins, JAN I, Tuners, Hipshot D-Tuner) on my Blue Stained, AAA, High Polish SSI. It looks gorgeous (better in person than the pic shows):

Bartolini pups with a special passive circuit (Vol - Blend - P Tone - J Tone; Alpha pots; Orange Drop caps) allow for seperate tone cuts on either pup and then blend together for more tonal combos than the average system.

I also went with a brass JAN I, and I LOVE the way it looks and adjusts!

I always wanted a gloss blue bass with gold hardware. This is now my second dream bass come true!

No. Without the strings on, it was loose and hung that way before I noticed and took the pic... I also don't know what the white spots are on the headstock - they sren't on there in person.

Why the change drakkett? You weren't pleased with how it sounded in it's original setup?

I've always though the Stage I:s are optimal the way they are with MEC:s, but hey, post some sound clips, and maybe you can prove me wrong!

Well, the preamp was noisy when engaged, so I could have just replaced that, but I already had the Bartolini J pup and a P pup was cheaper than a new EQ. Then there's the fact that I like passive pups and circuits better than active anyway (personal choice) and finally, Florin is to blame. He came up with the passive separate tone controls for each pup and then blend them on his CS X-BASS. It was such a cool idea, I had to implement it myself and I actually like it! Plus, no batteries...

If I can get some free time this week (probably Wed. before I get a break from the docs), I will try and get some sound clips. Whether or not my setup is "better" I don't know, but I like it better and that's what counts! :D

That SS1 is very sexy, I know what you mean about the noisy pre-amp, my SS1 hisses when i boost the treble. Very tempted to put in the bart, aguilar pre combo into mine. I was toying with the all passive setup but i can't live with a bass with no pre-amp. Will probably add a active/passive pre-amp bypass switch if/when i upgrade.

Can't wait to hear some clips of your SS1 maddrakkett!

I dig how your camera makes it look purple - I actually would love to have a Streamer LX or Stage I in that color of purple!

Now, can you get us another pic that shows it in its true Ocean Blue color?

    Nice bass fer sure!

Stunning! beautiful flaming on the body... I prefer Color Oil Finish to High Polish myself, but it really looks wonderful. Just post some pictures in beteer lighting, to show its real color...

It is pretty difficult to catch the color of the bass. Here is one photo, which shows the color and the nice flamed maple body.

ok, this is a nice one to start at the streamer-club...
last satursday we were rocking an openair in strasbourg, france. everything was fine, we were in the right mood, the sound was good and the songs went on as in the third one the sky went dark within a minute and right at the end of the song the rain poured down, just seconds left to unplug and stuff the bass in its bag. running and yelling poeple all over and the gig was done, what a mess...
next day i unpacked the bass and like a leopardfur, it had spots over and over. looks like a welldone custom-paint-job... maybe i should not wax it anymore, others spend a whole lotta money for such design :D

This is my vintage Streamer, also from Norway.
There is no serialnumber, but Warwick believes it must be from between 82 and 84. Someone on this forum suggested 83.
I've been offline awhile and I think its great that there is a streamer page now.
