I'm using the method Gerry is describing.

There's also another way of doing it. In your post you have the possibility to add attachments. Just browse for the picture you have on your computer and click "Add Attachment".

I've just got a Streamer STD, but very happy with it. It was only $280 new old stock off Ebay. The pic was tiny and I think poeple thought it was a RockBass cause of the 1 piece bridge.

    Your SS1 4 is a definite keeper - sweet!!!

Was that B.C. Rich Eagle a fretless? I still dig those original/early B.C. Rich basses. I used to own a Mockingbird and an Eagle guitar and I met Bernie Rico back in the early '80s and got a tour of his shop when it was in South El Monte, California. Cool guy (R.I.P.) and great product before it fell into other hands...

Now, what's the bass in this picture? Has a Streamer shape, but that's the only resemblence...

That would be a LOLANA rk bass...

    can I join?
I just purchased my first W, and it's a Streamer LX.
It's been made in 2002, but was never used until few months ago.

    nice flame on the body
the photos are made by the seller, as I will get the bass next week (I bought it from another country and my friend's gonna ship it for me). I will make some much better pictures once I've got the bass 8)

  21. #101
Oh yeah you can join - welcome!

That Streamer LX has a gorgeous flame maple! SWEET and very welcome here. Bet you can't wait to be seeing her in person and gettin' down and funky with her! :D

I'm dying to see more pics when she arrives!

Actually I'm not so much in love with the LX as I am with Warwicks in general... I've already got the bass that I'm really happy with, so I might want to trade this Streamer for, say, fretless Corvette or 5-str $$ or who knows what else...
Of course first I will try this one really well.
I already had an idea of putting Seymour Duncan Quarterpounders and passive controls in it :D

Dude, don't count that LX out! It's got that magical reverse-P pickup in it...

...it's bound to be a keeper!

;-) I have 5 Ricks. So naming them all "Rick" would not be appropiate I think.

There where some serious problems with the trussrods. The previous owner brought it to a wellknow luthier. Fretboard had to come off to fix the Trussrod problem. Previous owner decided he might as well let them put an fretless ebony board on it. I can't see the board was'nt originally on it. I'm curious how an original WarWick fretless board would look and feel.

An original Warwick board is nice and "woody" - natural and warm vs. a coated or poly-board like Pedulla and others use. The Warwick can sometimes be solid black ebony, like most others, but usually the Warwick has streaks of brown show up which can vary from a slight streak up to a nice exotic striping (these streaks are where Warwick gets the name "tigerstripe" ebony). While a poly-board can protect the ebony from the strings, I prefer the warmth of a natural ebony board and I especially like the look of a good tigerstripe Warwick, like the exotic board on my Corvette Std. fretless:

(Sorry this isn't a Streamer - don't want to get off-topic too much here...)

Never mind. Thanx for explaining and for the explaining pictures. It's nice to see that an original Wick does not have side-dots at every non-fret also. My Fretless Rick does have this.

No matter what, you got a very nice Streamer - cool to see it in a blue like my Streamer Stage 1, but with black hardware! And fretless rulez! :D

I mean, my good female friend finally brought me my Streamer LX.
So "she came" may as well be understood as "my Warwick arrived" and otherwise

I'm looking forward to the pics as soon as you can tear yourself away long enough to photograph it!

BTW, I think that's the fantasy of every male Warwick fan - to have a good female deliver the "W" in person! :D

yes, but the pain is I couldn't open the Rockbag until I've shown sufficient interest to the female

    Oh, the price we pay...

  40. #120
BTW, my Streamer Stage I is getting a total makeover -

I put Bartolini 8S (P-bass) and 9CBJD3 (J-bass) pickups in and will have all-passive electronics, but with a separate tone control for each pickup - very unique and versatile.

Then I found a great deal on a replacement bridge and tuning machines from Thomann. I was going to get the parts re-plated until I found I can get them new for almost as cheap. As soon as those arrive, I should have new gold knobs and a JAN III that Tyler is sending me from Dana B. Goods, and a gold Switchcraft jack. My bass is going to have new shiny gold hardware to match the beaytiful AAA flame high polish blue finish. A dream look I've wanted for a long time!
