I just took delivery of this Beauty! I found it's a 97, not a 95, and it's kinda Dirty, although the body is well waxed, and the neck well oiled. Screws and joints need some TLC! I'll disassemble and make it like new again.

    Initial Pics, more to follow...

What a Body! (Small Chip missing from below 24th fret)

I didn't realize that these bodies were so Contoured!

Ya sure he waxed the red parts Anthony?
Maybe he only used the wax for the back of the neck, which is fine.
Waxing the body will fade the finish over time.

Thanks Florin! I am having some problems with the input jack. At first it did not work at all. I removed the battery, but it was fully charged. I replaced it and it worked, but had some Crackling. I opened the cavity where the controld are and when I touched the Purple Wire, it came loose! I soldered it back into place, but it still has some Crackling. Sound like a good idea to replace it? But the bass Plays nicely! Just crackles if I move. Which I LOVE to do while I'm playing!

Here are some shots I took this morning!

Thanks Shmone. I'm having it Fixed, and then Jamming with it Tomorrow. I didn't realize that the body was so "Un-Flat!" It has a nice contour in the back of the body. More Curves. Kinda Sexxxy!

i've found it to be a problem on every bass i've owned with a barrel jack to be honest, it's not just warwicks (though some people do try to make it seem that way).

Hi to everyone, new to the forum and new to Warwick basses. I just took delivery of a new 2005 Streamer Jazzman 4, beautiful !!
My question concerns the micro switch (PU mode). I know what this switch does after reading the manual but can anyone explain to me what effect each setting has on the sound. This is confusing me. Thanks

    Hi Roger,

Swith in the middle -= Single Coil mode. This mode is similar to any Jazz style pickup. Clean straight sound.

Switch Up and Switch down - Humbucker mode
Switch up has more mids, less lows.
Switch down is darker but growlier - the "standard" Music Man sound.

    I hope it helps.

    Cheers,

    Flo

    Advise for Newbie Please

Sorry to keeping asking questions but this is the first warwick Ive owned, a Streamer LX Jazzman.
I didnt receive any wax in my user pack, when i quiried this with The UK American Guitar Centre ( who have been extremely helpful purchasing this bass and throughly recommended) they told me that my bass has a protective coating and doesnt need waxing therefore no wax! Is this correct doest seem to be any coating visble. Thanks

While Im at it what does the various initials mean, ie. LX, BO, NT etc?

If its a colored finish or any other finish that isn't natural oil finish then you shouldn't wax it, do a search there are lots of threads about this.
also, I have no idea what LX means

As I said it doesnt seem to have any protective finish, Its swamp ash 2005 model with a thin veneer of a darker wood with a flame maple top. But how do i tell if its got this coating has anyone ever heard of it before. I have searched and can find no mention of a clear protective coating.

The Streamer Jazzman comes also in natural oil finish...posting some pics of yours might definitely help to make sure if this is the case.

Yes, they are very different beasties, each one is inspiring me to play different stuff.
All I need now is a fretless and a SSII-5 and I will be whole.

Hahaha I saw your pic on my mom's pc this afternoon herb. She has a wide screen monitor but had the resolution set to 1024x768. The left bass looked like a SSI-5 and the right one was OMGWTFLOL?!?!?
Now I have things in the right perspective and it looks loverly! Which neck do you like best?

    haha thanks!
well for the first i like the nt necks a bit more. for the handling i prefer the 80 and 90' slim-broadneck like the ss1 but soundwise i love wenge/bubinga combination like my thumbs as you see i got a bunch of basses without my preferable best neck...
