    11 so far...

Now that I've put them all in this post window, I realize this is gonna take forever to load for someone with a slow connection. Forgive me!

Here's an old shot of me and the '94 Thumb BO. My '96 Corvette Std w/ EMGs can be see in the background:

My first Warwick at a show:

    '95 Corvette Proline:

    '98 FNA w/Basslines pickup:

'00 FNA Jazzman Guitar Center 36th Anniversary (less than 200 made). Bubinga pommele top, swamp ash back, flamed maple board:

    '95 Fortress MasterMan:

    '95 Corvette Standard passive:

    '96 Corvette Standard w/ EMGs:

    '96 Vette, '94 Thumb, '98 LX:

'98 Streamer LX 5 (wenge neck) Upgraded to BEC-III electronics:

The LX with my old stack:

The LX with the '96 Vette and another old stack:

My very first Warwick... '99 Streamer Standard Single Pickup:

'98 Thumb BO w/ wenge neck and Basslines pickups:

    '99 Streamer Standard Dual Pickup:

The Proline, Streamer Standard Dual, LX, and Thumb BO 6:

I almost forgot my custom fretless... it's not a Warwick throughout, but it does have a '96 flamed maple Warwick neck with a defretted wenge board which was planed, sanded, filled with maple veneers, and coated. Bass was made in 2005 by Allan Hamilton at Hambone Custom Basses in Snellville, Georgia USA:

Well, I'm gonna even the odds out a little and will settle down with 3 Corvettes, 2 Thumbs, 1 Streamer Stage I and an Infinity NT later this year. A Nobby Meidel woult fit in nicely as well :D

I've never had a Corvette 5 or 6, so that's one thing I've been in the market for. I've also never had a Thumb 4, though I really want one. Really want an older Streamer LX6, and Streamer Stage II 4 and 5 are at the top of my wanted list (wish they made a Stage II 6! The string spacing on the Stage I 6 is too much for me). I'd love a Streamer 4 of any kind really, but the Stage II is the only Streamer 4 that has twin Js instead of the backward P which I can't stand because it disrupts my slapping (I had a Spector NS once with pickups like that and it was an awful pickup configuration for me).

Anyone here have an Alien acoustic? Never really hear anyone talk about them for some reason...

    Real nice basses guys,

This forum site needs a for sale section.
Ebay and the other online sites have volume, but not variety.
    I'm looking for a pre-98' Dolphin Pro 1 5 String(boire wood & no volute on
the back of the headstock. Single Truss rod version basically.
Factory Customs are welcome also. I'm going to put in an order for a custom REALLY soon, but I thought that since there isn't a "for sale," section on the forum yet. That I'd give it a shot here and see if I stir any out of hiding. Please send me a Private message if you have one and would like to talk. I live in southern california, but, if you have good feedback on ebay or feedback from other forums that'll work too.
I have over 250 flawless feedback on ebay, and can Paypal without wait or hassles if you have what I'm looking for.

    Thanks in Advance!

CeeJ - I don't know where you live but try out Station-Music in Germany, they usually have a great assortment of Warwicks and might be able to spot a specific one for you. www.station-music.de or send an email to Lothar Walter at walter@station-music.de

Ooh, a show and tell thread!

http://www.geocities.com/nc6566 click the picture of me and there are more pictures of me and my bass.

It's a 1997 Warwick Corvette Standard. I love that bass. I recently had an opportunity to play a pro bassist's Fodera last week and though it was a sweet sweet sweet bass, I still like my Warwick best.

I'm loving Bungle's Streamer "pre doublebuck doublebuck." That is sexy. Love the pickup placement. Leaves adequate room for slap.

Hello to everyone. This is my first post and I figured it would be fitting to show my gear. While my collection isn't as good as some peoples, I am very proud of it seeing as how I'm a poor college student.

Off topic a little, but I had one of those Ampeg BXT-410HL4s and man was that a fantastic cab. I sold it about a week after I got it because I was offered $175 USD more than I paid for it used, but I've been regretting that ever since. I typically think that Ampeg is about the most overrated company producing ANYTHING in the world, but that cab is actually impressive.

Nice basses too, by the way. Like the mini Thumb.

Yeah I really like the cab alot. I just wish I had a better Head to power it. Thanks for the comments

I do believe that your fingerboard is also Wenge.

Hey Rob and jazzman, thanks for the welcome. Fingerboard: I don't think so, woods are completely different on each sides of the neck, much darker on back, it's a very "carved" wood. I'll try to post a pic later to show it. Maybe I'm wrong, but woods are not the same...

  23. #103
hey... looks like Wenge to me (judging from the photos)... and if it's not a custom bass then it's defenitely wenge, coz that's the standard wood they use for fingerboards....

    Cheers

Yep - definitely wenge. Never seen an ovangkol fingerboard in my life. It's a lot lighter.

I see the open grain of the wenge on the fretboard which is a particular giveaway. Ovangkol is closed grain - ie completely smooth.

Yes, it's a great bass. The only thing that bothers me about it is that sometimes when I play the E string and I pluck it too hard it makes contact with the pickup poles. Ouch! It hurts to listen. Other than that it's a really unique and great bass!

    No problem!

photobucket.com is a decent (& free) image hosting site. Pretty straightforward to use.

My thumb is a little beat up from years of touring but still sounds wonderful. As soon as my custom shop streamer gets here I`ll post pics of that.
