    WOW!! Nice Pile of wood!!!

Please post more pics of your Dolphin Fretless SN.
That's obviously a custom~ how much did it cost you,

This year my resolution is to take some new and better pictures. Here's the lineup anyhow:

Custom White Dophin Pro1 5-string with red LEDs (I sold this one )
Dolphin Pro1 1990 with factory Bartolinis
Streamer 1990 (Stage II style) with green LEDs
Infinity 2000 LTD (beautiful birdseye needs a better picture)
    Thumb n/t 1994

Personally my favourites are the '90 Streamer and '90 Dolphin, although I continue to be impressed by the Infinity. Of course the Thumb bass is indespensible!

  14. #54
    beautiful collection!

shame you no longer have the white dolphin!

my resolution this year is to never sell another bass again!

Thank you, Lex! For some reason that white Dolphin and I just didn't "connect". It was a truly beautiful instrument however. Anyhow I won't be parting with the others anytime soon.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

    Indeed so very nice mate.

  18. #58
Wow Oddio and Marcbass - those Dolphins are just amazing!!! I've always wanted to try one - what do they sound like, in comparison to other Warwicks??

Ok, I've owned a few Warwicks - a Streamer LX and a Streamer Jazzman (both of which I had to sell ).....and now I have a custom shop Thumb BO 6 in seafoam green:

  19. #59
Wow! That Matt finish is sweet! How much did they charge extra for it?

  20. #60
Just the same as a solid colour finish - I've been informed that it actually requires less work producing a matte finish cf a glossy finish; it is merely the same coats of paint as a gloss colour finish, minus the coat of gloss at the end!

Apparently, the matte finish is what a gloss finished bass is like after it has aged for a number of years...

It looks/feels great, and doesn't show up any finger marks!

    @ oddio
Darn!!! I've been looking for you for some time!
I was trying to track you down to make you an offer on the White Dolphin last year and I just couldn't remember where i had seen your pictures..

Please send me a Private message.. I've been looking for an older Dolphin 5 String for quite awhile now.

There should be a "for sale" or "classifieds," section on the Warwick forums like over at talkbass.com etc.

Anyway Awesome collection you have there... I'll be taking some new pics soon also.

@marcbass: THANKS for posting more pics of your custom SN Dolphin SN 5 Fretless! VERY VERY NICE!!!

    One of mine...

    Here's one of my Fortresses...

2001 Fortress Masterman fretless. One of the last real Fortresses ever made! THey must have saved up some of the best bodies until the end, because that is STILL the best bit of flamed maple I've ever seen.

And here's the other. 1995 Fortress Masterman with Sims LEDs.

    Thanks Darryll,

The '87 is extremely easy to play, almost plays itself, the neck profile front to back is very slim and so is the body compared to the 00' which is fatter and slightly heavier.

The 87' has more of a growly mid-rangey tone where as the '00 is better for nice defined lows, I guess this has a lot to do with the Barts vs MEC's.

You need to host your pictures on another website and then put the link to it in your message. I use Image Shack but there are many, many others.

freakin' awesome...it has a very warm, fat sound and can get really dirty if you want. it's basically the antithesis of the sterile, grating, ultra hi-fi sound that most modern bass amps seem to be going for. i also play a fender p and fretless jazz through it, and they all sound fantastic!
